As I sat on a snowy morning with a fire, hot cup of tea made with a fresh tea bag, and cat on my lap, taking out my sewing needles, small sharp scissors, and threads, I started thinking about how this morning's solitary activity is so unlike what tea drinking and sewing is about. Women for millenia have sewn together, and I'm not sure how long women have been making and drinking tea together - a real social network around these two activities.
Hence, the blog..... I've certainly not defined what this will look like. Since I started saving my own tea bags, I've discovered artists using tea bags and an interesting project in South Africa of 'tea bag art'. Please watch, participate, contribute.....let's see what comes of this.
